De Padova is a furniture manufacturer with a reputation for simple and intellectual sensibilities. It began in 1956 as a furniture showroom in Milano put together by the De Padovas. Their unique and refined co-ordinations do not conform to any particular region or style, which has earned them a substantial following among northern Italy’s upper class Maddalena, who has taken a leading role in developing the company’s image and maintaining quality, is known as a woman of great sense. Through friendships with distinguished designers, such as Magistretti and Castiglioni, she works on developing new products and, at the same time, offers proposals for a new lifestyle by incorporating American (Shaker Furniture) and northern European designs.
