Rubber wood, used in many IXC. East by Eastwest products, is a high quality hardwood that is extremely durable. It is also well-regarded overseas as an excellent material.
The rubber wood used by IXC. East by Eastwest to make its furniture comes not from trees growing in their natural environment but from those planted expressly for that purpose. The trees are grown for about 10 years before they are cut down to make furniture. Those that are cut down are replaced with new ones. This method reduces the strain placed on the environment when trees are cut down in natural forests to make furniture and contributes to environmental conservation.
